Highly sensitive teens often feel everything more deeply; emotions, social dynamics, expectations, even their own thoughts. What others brush off can feel overwhelming, leading to anxiety, self-doubt, or shutting down.
These teens are often incredibly thoughtful, perceptive, and empathetic, but they don’t always have the tools to manage the intensity of their inner world.
In therapy, I help highly sensitive teens understand their emotional experiences without feeling controlled by them. We work on building coping skills, setting boundaries, and navigating relationships and expectations in a way that feels manageable.
This is a space where they don’t have to “toughen up,” just learn how to handle what they already feel.
